History

The Kirwee Bowling Club was established in 1955 when a keen group of local bowlers felt it was time to have a bowling club in their own community.

Over the years, a green was laid, a clubhouse built (subsequently extended), and fences and shelters erected.

The Club falls under the umbrella of Bowls Canterbury and Bowls New Zealand and is managed by an Executive Committee.

our vision

As a bowling club, we want to become a club that all people in the community will feel a connection to, either by having a family member, friend or neighbour who belongs, or by belonging to the club themselves.

our mission statement

To promote the game of Lawn Bowls on behalf of Bowls New Zealand whilst creating a playing environment that caters for all levels of competitiveness.

our values

The enjoyment of the game, the social interaction and our club facilities are what keep us here.

We provide a sense of belonging. The Club takes pride in being friendly, inclusive and encouraging of all its members (and their families).

We celebrate the success of our club competition winners and those who do well at higher levels of play.
